Mission Statement Disability Support Programs and Services (DSPS) provides reasonable, timely, academic accommodations and limited special instruction to students with a verified disability based upon individual functional and/or educational limitations.

Getting Started: Steps to Accessing DSPS Services Step 1: Apply to San Joaquin Delta College and complete assessment. Step 2: Submit disability verification from a certifying professional to DSPS.* Step 3: Schedule to meet with a DSPS counselor. *At this point services will be determined by the DSPS counselor based on documentation, e.g. IEP, psychological reports, or any other verified documents.

Possible Eligibility Criteria Documentation by appropriate professional Results in educational limitation Funding mechanism – Eight Basic Categories 1.Acquired Brain Injury – ABI or TBI 2.Learning Disability- LD 3.Deaf/Hard of Hearing – D/HH 4.Blind/Visual Impairment 5.Mobility Impairment 6.Speech/Communication 7.Psychological 8.Other – chronic –i.e.. Diabetes, lupus, HIV, Cancer and/or “Hidden”- ADHD/ADD

Support Services & Academic Accommodations The purpose of the Disability Support Programs and Services (DSPS) is to provide access and support to students in academic programs. DSPS provides reasonable, timely academic accommodations and limited special instruction to students with a verified disability based upon individual functional and/or educational limitations.
