Boyer (Future US Commissioner of Education) Center for Labor Studies renamed Harry Van Arsdale, Jr. Center in 1986 Labor focused non-traditional teaching & online learning Fully accredited by Middle States Commission on Higher Education Serves working adults at 35 New York locations and online Offers associate, bachelor’s and master’s degree programs

3 Associate Degree in Labor Studies Requirements:  64 credit hours  30 credits must include general education requirements in seven of ten areas:  Must include mathematics and basic communication  Choice of five from natural science, social science, American history, western civilization, other world civilizations, humanities, the arts, and foreign language  Transfer credits may be used to meet this requirement  24 of 64 credits must be earned at Empire State College

4 Bachelor’s Degree in Labor Studies Requirements:  124 credit hours  30 credits must include general education requirements in seven of ten areas:  Must include mathematics and basic communication  Choice of five from natural science, social science, American history, western civilization, other world civilizations, humanities, the arts, and foreign language  Transfer credits may be used to meet this requirement  32 of 124 credits must be earned at Empire State College
