2 1. Framework: EURECA - Enhancing University Research and Entrepreneurial Capacity 2. Goal: to create and develop ITMO knowledge-based innovation hub for internationalization of technology transfer and commercialization 3. Areas of joint projects:  International IP protection  Marketing  Seed and venture funding 4. Implementation period: 2011 – 2012 5.Partnership budget:  USRF budget: 0,5 mln USD  ITMO contribution: 1,6 mln USD ITMO-UCLA strategic partnership

3 6. Partnership progress:  MoU signed on May, 27 th, 2011  UCLA Chancellor Gene Block gave a speech at ITMO Academic Council on August 30 th, 2012 ITMO-UCLA strategic partnership

13 ITMO Academic Council from October 20 th, 2012: 1.approved ITMO results achieved under EURECA phase I 2. decreed to:  maintain productive cooperation with US partners to strengthen research, educational and entrepreneurial projects  create regional network of startup accelerators formed around leading Russian universities in innovative-oriented regions EURECA II perspective (2013-2016)
