3 3 Cassette design: Two solutions to be developed -Solution1:Fully 3D-printed plastics to be painted with copper paint (first solution to be tested, design already started) -Solution 2: 3D printed holder + carbon tube around (more advanced alternative) Decisions of the Pisa WP3 meeting:

4 Single PET-module Design Update 4 Solution1a/b: Fully 3D-printed plastics to be painted with copper paint -Closed 3D-printed Positioning Plate -3 mm Glasfiberplate as module support -U-shaped FPGA-board -Al-radiators on each ASIC -Aircooling from above -Overall length: 313 mm (Solution 1a) or 363 mm ( Solution 1b ) Both solutions can be adapted into Solution 2 by changing the shielding material from plastics to carbon fiber. All other parts remain the same as in solution 1a/b Solution 1a Solution 1b

What decisions need to be made! -CAD-model or Spec of magnet and RF-Coil -Attachment points to mount Pet-ring to magnet -Specification of the patients table -Delivery of crystal matrix has to be decided ( seperate arrays or glued) -Glueing procedure crystal/SiPM -Air or water cooling? -Module shielding made from carbon or painted plastic -Tolerance +/- 0,1 mm acceptable for rapid prototyping parts? -Testing of mechanical components in magnetic field -Intergration of head coil on Patients table -Integration of EEG
