The printer is capable of printing color letter-size pages at 6 pages per minute or ledger/A3 size pages at 3 pages per minute. When printing in black-and-white (as the majority of office document pages are likely to be) the magicolor 6110 produces 24 pages per minute. The printer delivers images at 1200 dpi resolution. When printing at this resolution, the magicolor 6110 does not slow down its printing speed (as some other color laser printers do). The magicolor 6110 offers two interfaces as standard equipment: a bi-directional IEEE 1284 parallel port and a 10/100BaseTX “Fast” Ethernet multiprotocol network interface. Including a network interface for free has become a hallmark of MINOLTA-QMS color printers for business. This feature alone makes installing and using the magicolor 6110 easy. The interface also supports multiple network protocols to make it easy to work with the variety of computer systems and networks any business might use. In addition to the one standard network interface, businesses can add one optional network interface for more complex computing environments.
Ease-of-use has always been a major concern of color printer users. The magicolor 6110 features the revolutionary QuickChange system for toner cartridge replacement. Cartridges slide in and out of color coded slots in the front of the printer making it easy for anyone in the office to replace toner when necessary.

Crown III is a multitasking printer system that improves the productivity of the business by operating the printer at peak efficiency. The magicolor 6110 features a new 200MHz processor for fast interpreting of even complex color documents. The QuickChange consumables on the magicolor 6110 minimize maintenance worries. Now anyone in the office can change a toner cartridge. Each cartridge is color-coded and keyed to its physical location in the printer. All cartridges insert from the front of the printer so there’s no need to be a contortionist just to keep the printer in top condition. The high-capacity black cartridge also helps keep the productivity of the magicolor 6110 up.
In the event of an empty toner cartridge or paper tray or other condition with the printer, the magicolor 6110 immediately sends out an notice to a designated recipient. This productivity enhancement helps minimize downtime in a busy network environment by alerting the appropriate person of the action needed to rectify the situation.
The magicolor 6110 will also notify a designated person when a particular document has printed. This improves remote printing across the network.
Proof-Then-Print helps prevent wasted prints when producing multiple document sets. Select proof-then-print and specify the number of copies desired, the magicolor 6110 prints one copy for your approval. If you want to proceed with printing the remainder of the documents, press a button on the printer’s control panel and the 6110 automatically finishes the requested number of copies.
