5. WHAT IS A PARENT RESOURCE CENTER? A specific place where parents, volunteers and students can gather to learn, share information, volunteer and promote and support learning at home. A welcoming environment where parents see as a place of their own, a place where everyone feels safe and where resources are available to them. 6. GOALS OF A PARENT RESOURCE CENTER To promote family engagement in children’s education at home and at school. To foster collaborative relationships between families, the school and the community.
