3 Aims of Learning Together Improve early learning opportunities for children, including emergent literacy and numeracy Assist parents to support their child’s early learning and development Support parents own learning and determination Strengthen communities through interagency collaboration and coordination in the provision of family focussed programs and services  Promote and support positive relationships between families and early childhood services and schools

5 Learning Together and Partnerships The notion of partnerships underpins our work in Learning Together. Working with the family supports the child. family/child family / educator educator/ child family/ family family/agencies

6 Working in multi agency teams to meet family needs Recognising and addressing needs at home Parents learning about children and their learning Wellbeing is central to learning and learning is central to wellbeing Strengthen communities through interagency collaboration and coordination in the provision of family focussed programs and services

7 Educators in Learning Together work closely and in a strength based manner with parents and children to support their learning, eg playgroups, literacy activities, SACE Educators make a positive contribution to learner wellbeing. Assist parents to support their child’s early learning and development Improve early learning opportunities for children, including emergent literacy and numeracy

8 Wellbeing is built on the strengths of individuals, groups and communities working together. Providing a safe and welcoming environment. Building community capacity through building relationships, developing networks, engaging families in preschools, schools and the broader community Promote and support positive relationships between families and early childhood services and schools

9 Wellbeing in Learning Together Working with the family supports the child Safe and welcoming environment Building relationships Acknowledging and responding to needs
