2 Benazir Bhutto had a very interesting and charming childhood. She was born on June 21, 1953 in Karachi, Dominion of Pakistan. Her mother’s name was Begum Nustrat Isphani and her father’s name was Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. She was the first of four children. She had a brother named Mir Murtaza and two sisters named Shahnawaz and Sanam. Although she was Muslim, she went to many different schools that were not her religion, including Lady Margaret Hall, Lady Jennings Nursery School, and Jesus and Mary Convent of Muree. She also went to Radcliffe College and Harvard Law School. Undoubtedly, being the daughter of two politicians, she had a very privileged childhood. She traveled a lot, and had many opportunities to meet new people. Although this may sound exciting, Bhutto was often neglected by her parents, who were constantly busy. Therefore, Bhutto did not have the childhood that many children would consider great.

3 Benazir Bhutto was the first woman to be a prime minister in an Islamic Nation. She was of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), founded by her father, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, and won many seats in office. She married Asif Ali Zardari later, and had three beautiful children. Bliawal, Aseefa, and Bakthawar Zardari. Then one day when she returned to Pakistan after a short period of exile, she was deliberately killed during a rally, on December 27, 2007. Although she died, her supporters still helped live her dream by later taking General Musharraf out of office. Therefore, Benazir Bhutto is a notable woman because she influenced many people, and helped fulfill many dreams; she is a very big influence to young Muslim girls. Showing that they too, can make a difference living in a male-dominated country, and living a male-dominated life, lead my the religion of Islam.

4 Benazir Bhutto has been a very influential person to many people; she has also influenced us. Unknowingly taught us that if you are a person who is a leader, you will never back down on your promises and your goals. Therefore, her legacy lives on today in the hearts of many people who were her supporters.
