1 S.T.E.P. ping into the Secondary Classroom - ROLLING RIVER SCHOOL DIVISION’S SECOND STEP TOWARDS TECHNOLOGY INTEGRATION

2 Computers will be brought into all Sr. I - IV classrooms. Teachers will be given P.D. support and workshops on ways of integrating technology into classroom instruction. Teachers who recognize computers as problem-solving tools change the way they teach.

4 Computers must be accessible if integration is to take place. Technology integration promotes engaged, activity based learning. activity based learning Technology lends itself as the multidimensional tool to assist teachers to become guides and facilitators Technology integration in the curriculum improves students' learning processes and outcomes.

5 The Plan Who –2 to 3 teachers from each high school (total – 8) When –P.D. March 05 (½ day inservice ½ day tours) –April Class setup ½ day unit planning –May Unit implementation –June Project evaluation

6 One STEP Further September 05 –Presentation of STEP to all school –New team P.D. 1 day inservice October –Class setup –Mentorship November –½ day planning
