Servant Leaders To Serve As Jesus Served

I am a Regional Minister elected by the local ministers in my region.

I am the primary person responsible for the fraternity.

I need to make sure that the directions and the decisions of the council are put into practice

I need to keep the council informed about what I am doing.

I must preside at meetings of the regional council.

I need to convoke an election every three years.

My service includes presiding and confirming local fraternity elections unless I delegate someone else to do so.

I must make fraternal visits to the local fraternities personally or through a delegate who is a brother or sister on the council.

I need to prepare an annual report to be sent to the National Executive Council.

I am the person who is to represent the fraternity in all its relations with ecclesiastical and civil authorities.

I must request a pastoral and fraternal visit every three years.

I must be open to dialogue. Ready to give and receive help and collaboration.

I should seek to inspire life and soul into the fraternities by my own witness.

Together with my councilors I need to suggest appropriate means for the life of the fraternity and of apostolic activities. family work ecology Peace and justice

I am called to help the fraternity be a true community, ecclesial and Franciscan. One that is actively present in the Church and in Society.

Together with my councilors, I need to assist the brothers and sisters to live the spirituality of the rule we profess.

Listening is the foundation for all ministry. It reveals the leader’s wanting to learn and grow through understanding the wisdom others offer. Listening gives the leader access to people and their needs, hopes, weaknesses and strengths. It reveals the state of the community I NEED TO BE A LISTENER The Collaborative Leader The Listener

Above all I should cherish peace and reconciliation in and around the fraternity.

In addition I must fill out numerous reports and do record keeping like: Minutes of meetings Documents of establishment Report of visits Financial reports Council folders with all kinds of information Etcetera, etcetera, etcetera

If I wash your feet, I who am Teacher and Lord then you must wash one another’s feet.

Washing feet? Instead of the kind of leadership that is about power, prestige, or status, Christ asks me to wait on other people. Instead of dictating, dominating, Christ asks me to anticipate the needs of others.

I solemnly assure you, no slave is greater than his master, no messenger outranks the one who sent him. John, 13, vs. 16

Servant Song What do you want of me Lord? How do you want me to serve you? How can I sing your praises? You are the Lord. Refrain Jesus, Jesus, You are the Lord. Jesus, Jesus, you are the way. I hear you call my name, Lord, and I am moved within me. Your Spirit stirs my deepest self. Sing your songs in me. Jesus, Jesus, You are the Lord. Jesus, Jesus, you are the way.
