2 Christ, Community & Church How might we put Christ more at the heart of the Six30 & share him confidently? How might the Six30 become better at serving our local community? How might the Six30 resource God’s wider work in the world more fully?

5 Centred on Christ Maturing as a Disciple Jesus My life That you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please Him in every way Col 1: 10

6 Centred on Christ Maturing as a Church/Congregation Jesus My life That you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please Him in every way Col 1: 10

7 Christ is central (Col 3: 1-17)  He is all and in all (1-11)  We are becoming like Him (12-15)  His Peace rules (15)  His word enriches us (16)  We worship Him (16)  We serve Him every day (17)

8 Sharing Christ (Col 4: 2-6)  Pray for opportunity (2 & 3)  Prepare to share clearly (4)  Make the most of every opportunity (5)  Season our conversations with salt (6)  Know how to answer everyone (6)

9 Our Vision Sharing Christ as the Six30 means: a.Christ is central to everything we are and do b.Having confidence to share Christ appropriately with others

10 Our Vision Serving the local community as the Six30... Matthew 5: 13-16 suggests being:  Salt that works  A city on a hill  A light to everyone... our deeds lead to praise of God!

11 Our Vision Serving the local community as the Six30 means: As individuals and together, being inspired by God’s passion for all people, to interact with our neighbours in ways that lead to Christ.

13 Seek His Kingdom (Lk 12: 22-34)  Do not worry about your life(22)  Consider and trust God to provide all your needs (27-29)  Seek/run after his Kingdom (31)  Re-invest in others (33)  Be dressed ready for service (35)

14 Seek His Kingdom (Lk 12: 22-34)  A self forgetfulness  A liberating trust & faith  A readiness to go anywhere, do anything, serve anyone  Investing heart & soul in the Father’s Kingdom

15 Our Vision ‘... For Church’ as the Six30 means: a.Seeking God’s Kingdom, not our success b.Sharing our resources to build and encourage other Churches c.Forging Partnerships with God’s workers in His world
