A national specialist exam which is a written 6 h exam Compulsory for all the trainees from different universities Maintains a certain standard of what we’re supposed to learn Academic skills / Professional knowledge Trainee prepares and presentates a lecture of given subject for the whole clinic

7 Cons 50/50 % rule Forces most of us to move back and forth ”Do it when you’re still young and enthusiast” Reduction of small peripheral hospitals

8 Cons General reduction in surgical procedures Hysterectomies Suction curettages

9 Cons Lack of ultrasound training Lack of urogynecologic training Prenatal policlinic is mainly monotonous for trainees Something else than gestational diabetes or breech controls?

10 How to improve? Surgical competency pretest? Entry and exit Specific goals for each rotation unit? Web-based courses and surgical techniques should be practisiced in a stress free environment Fantoms, simulators Will there be enough operations in the future? Should we orientate already as a trainee?
