Founding the theme We have considerable statutory deadlines to implement improvements, each object has responsible executer We are thinking about to change the whole system of social welfare in order to ease down the burdens of people with disabiliy Our system has a some neglected fields in respect of the disabled persons because of past thinking heritage for instance the mentally disabled persons

Our main aims We need improve our actual (financial) measures’ efficiency trying to increase the level of living conditions of the people living with disability by programmes The government also have to change the policy of labour in order to give the disabled persons more chance to be equal member of the society

Recent obligations each ministry has to put aside 2% of its own budget in respect of breaking down the bars at used institutions a law (about the constructed environment protection) orders all pieces of the acceptable criteria for getting permission to live in a building newly renovated or rebuilt Act No. LXXVIII of 1997

Obligations in the near future By 1 January 2005 the existing public buildings must be cleared of physical obstacles gradually but health care, education and social facilities needs to be finished by 2003 By 2003 we also have to accomplished the provision of access to public services, including the network for the translators of sign-language.

17. Obligations in mid term In sports and leisure activities: concerning the training of sports professionals, required changes should be finally implemented by 1 January, 2005. The special material and staff capabilities in respect of the Equal Opportunities Act must be created gradually, but by no later than 1 January, 2005 For developing employment policy and its efficiency, conditions for placing people with disability in special jobs must be worked out gradually, but by no later than 1 January, 2005

18. Final Obligations By 2010, the whole transport and transportation network must be suitable for people living with disability

19. The recent achievements are in respect of social and rehabilitation field of Department of Rehabilitation and the Disabled Affairs in order to promote integrated employment of disabled people, the system of subsidies for occupational rehabilitation partially changed to the so called self-employment encouraged by the government via labor services; if anyone at least 50% disabled among (max) 20 people to be employed by a company, the company could receive tax allowance as well, and above 20 people, could receive dotations; new project has set up for spreading the so called residential houses (according to the EU standards)

20. Structure of the National Disability Affairs Council It has increasing number of new little, independent organisations for people living with disability, recently above 100 orgs
