8 Roaming Profiles Profiles store things such as: Desktop icons Program settings Items in your recycle bin Internet favourites/bookmarks Standard Profiles are stored on your local drive. Roaming Profiles are stored on a network drive. Why Roaming Profiles? So when you to move to another computer, you will still have the ‘look’ of your own computer, access to your Internet favourites, etc. If profiles get too large your log in and log off process can get quite slow What can you do? Store all your files on your N: drive Don’t store any files on your desktop (just shortcuts to files and programs) Empty your Recycle bin regularly

9 Questions/Feedback Questions? Session Feedback (feel free to email Lisa Tomalty-Crans, ltomalty at uwaterloo.ca with feedback and suggestions) Thank you!
