Storytelling gives birth to new churches in Costa Rica
In Tell THE Story, the trainer is a facilitator, not an instructor. He/she tells a Bible story from memory, then immediately asks the group members to retell the story to one another. Next, the trainer tells the story again, making intentional errors, and the group corrects the errors. Everyone then has listened to the story at least three times and is able to engage in these five open-ended questions: 
What did you like about the story?
What did you not like about the story?
What hidden truth did you learn from this story?
If you could be any character, who would you be or not be and why?
What truth will you apply in your own life this week?

Connecticut pastor shot early Sunday
A Connecticut pastor was shot early last Sunday morning, May 24, while putting out Memorial Day flags,NBC Connecticut, the Hartfor Courant, and several other news outlets reported.  Augustus Sealy, 54, pastor of Hartford First Church of the Nazarene, was shot twice in the leg and once in the shoulder around 6:30 a.m. local time. The Courant reported he was found in the road. A little over 10 minutes later, another individual was shot six times. The 27-year-old male victim was shot in the torso and arms, NBC Connecticut reported. Both victims were taken to the hospital and released this week. Police issued an arrest warrant June 1. They are also investigating the shootings as a possible hate crime..

6. Luke 5 (NIV)
One day as Jesus was standing by the Lake of Gennesaret, the people were crowding around him and listening to the word of God. 2 He saw at the water’s edge two boats, left there by the fishermen, who were washing their nets. 3 He got into one of the boats, the one belonging to Simon, and asked him to put out a little from shore. Then he sat down and taught the people from the boat. 4 When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch.”

5 Simon answered, “Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets.” 6 When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break. 7 So they signaled their partners in the other boat to come and help them, and they came and filled both boats so full that they began to sink.

What do you think would have happened if Peter had ignored Jesus instruction?

8 When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at Jesus’ knees and said, “Go away from me, Lord; I am a sinful man!” 9 For he and all his companions were astonished at the catch of fish they had taken, 10 and so were James and John, the sons of Zebedee, Simon’s partners.
Then Jesus said to Simon, “Don’t be afraid; from now on you will fish for people.” 11 So they pulled their boats up on shore, left everything and followed him.

I am a creature of a day, passing through life as an arrow through the air. I am a spirit come from God, and returning to God: Just hovering over the great gulf; till, a few moments hence, I am no more seen; I drop into an unchangeable eternity! Pray for understanding of the scripture
Be willing to obey God according to what you learn
Compare passages of scripture that deal with the same topic
Meditate on the scripture’s teaching
If you do not understand, consult with othe Christians and read the writing of Christians from the past.
