A rocket moves forward when gases shooting out the back of the rocket push it in the opposite direction. The main advantage of a multistage rocket is that the total weight of the rocket is greatly reduced as the rocket rises.

A multistage (or multi-stage) rocket is a rocket that uses two or more stages, each of which contains its own engines and propellant 1.A propellant = an explosive charge or a rocket fuel, that propels or provides thrust. 2.An engine = a machine designed to convert energy into useful mechanical motion (to move it)

4. This multistage rocket has a series of engines in each part, 3 stages.

Satellites are used for communications and for collecting scientific data.

11. The electromagnetic spectrum includes radio waves through gamma rays. Telescopes can collect & focus light for planetary images and satellite photographs e.g. Hubble
