About The Respect Group: Respect In Sport: Activity Leader & Parent Program Respect In School Respect in the Workplace RIW focuses on adult to adult relationships in the workplace. Because Respect Matters Everywhere - over 600,000 people trained to date! Since 2004, the mission of the Respect Group has been to deliver an online, interactive program that engages and educates the masses. We empower people to recognize and prevent bullying, abuse, harassment and discrimination. (BAHD)

Results Pertaining to BAHD: Over 40% of employees, regardless of industry, have experienced or witnessed BAHD in their existing workplaces. These people experience one or more acts of workplace bullying at least once a week for the past 6 months.

Some examples of Bullying, Abuse, Harassment and Discrimination ( BAHD ) Insulting or intimidating behaviours Abuse of power Can come in written form Inappropriate gestures Behaviors defined by the criminal code Being overbearing in meetings and making aggressive comments. Unreasonable demands and deadlines. Withholding important information. Emails, notes or posts about another person. Physical or sexual in nature. Threats, stalking or physical or sexual assault.

Physical Symptoms of Workplace Bullying: WBI Study - 516 participants who experienced (BAHD) in the workplace 73% were treated for Work Related Health symptoms 49% Diagnosed with Depression High Blood pressure Heart palpitations Heart attack Overwhelming anxiety and/or panic attacks Sleep disruption Loss of concentration/memory Migraine and tension headaches Uncontrollable mood swings Posttraumatic stress disorder Eating disorders Nausea Rapid breathing Uncontrollable crying
