c. 200 million years ago, continents were all together into Pangaea which means “All Earth”.

1.This theory became official in 1915 by Alfred Wegener. 2. The word theory means that many accept it, but it is not fact.

Evidence supporting theory includes: The continents seem to fit together like pieces of a puzzle. Plant and animal fossils match on the coastlines of Africa and South America. Rock types in Africa and South America match. The continents are still moving due to earthquakes and movement of tectonic plates.

Life During the Ice Age About ¼ of the world was covered by glaciers.

The Ice Age lasted for millions of years. It is theorized to have ended c. 16,000 B.C.

What continents were most affected? North America, Europe, Asia, Antarctica

Very little evidence was left behind. Frozen wooly mammoths have been found. Most forms of life were in temperate and tropical climate zones. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JXTkLOCrQqE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W4gvxUlGNAs
