AO1 DEVELOP A / A* 25% Develop ideas through:
Researching artists, designers and craftspeople showing critical understanding of their work and historical / cultural influences. Critically analyse and evaluate own work in writing making clear links. Imaginative ideas supported by perceptive, sustained investigations. Independent, sensitive insights are supported by skilful use of critical understanding. 3-5 Comparison Critical Studies / investigations (min 1hr each) Images to support Critical Studies 3-5 Responses to researched artists, designers, craftspeople. All work critically annotated and evaluated

AO2 REFINE A / A* 25% 25% Refine ideas through:
Experimenting and selecting appropriate resources, media, materials, techniques and processes that respond to researched artists, designers and craftspeople. Insightful and in-depth review, resulting in creative and imaginative developments. Recognises the full potential of materials, techniques and processes selected. 3- 5 5xperiments that develop Recorded Ideas from the research of artists, designers and craftspeople. Push limitations of chosen media. 3-5 Design ideas that have been fully developed and explored. All work critically annotated and evaluated.

AO3 RECORD A / A* 25% Record ideas through:
Relevant first hand observational drawing, photography and collected images that are visually connected. Perceptive grasp of ideas and issues recorded, evidenced through sustained, comprehensive and creative use of visual/other forms. Any specialist terms are used appropriately and are expressed highly accurately. Mind map 2-3 3-5 Observational studies in media that suits student (each study should be 1hr – 3hr). 2 plus photo-shoots. Collected images from internet / magazines. All work critically annotated and evaluated.

AO4 PRESENT A / A* 25% Present a final piece:
That is personal and meaningful piece that has clear connections with researched artists, designers and craftspeople. Has been refined with relevant supporting recorded ideas. Present a final evaluation: That clearly in writing discusses the final piece and its links to AO1. Intentions are fully realised through personal outcomes, demonstrating original, imaginative, inventive and exciting qualities, with highly appropriate connection between elements. Final piece / pieces (min 10hrs) Final evaluation Clear links to AO1, AO2 and AO3.

AO1 DEVELOP B 25% Develop ideas through:
Researching artists, designers and craftspeople showing critical understanding of their work and historical / cultural influences. Critically analyse and evaluate own work in writing making clear links. A diverse range of ideas is being explored with exciting and imaginative developments. Personal, refined judgement conveys understanding of more complex issues. 3-5 Comparison Critical Studies / investigations (min 1hr each) Images to support Critical Studies 3-5 Responses to researched artists, designers, craftspeople. Researching artists, designers and craftspeople showing critical understanding of their work and historical / cultural influences. Relevant selection in recording from sources, using growing technical control, including expression of specialist terms where included, to support and communicate the intention in their ideas with visual/other forms.
