Who we are  LogistiCraft is an industry leading B2B (business to business) parcel/cargo service and supply chain management provider  Started in 2015 as a IT490 project by a 4 member team, LogistiCraft has branched out into fields such as:  CMS development and consulting  RDBMS design and interoperability  Mobile and agile development with rapid prototyping

3. Why an Inventory Management Companion (IMC)  Increasing complexity in cargo management  LogistiCraft started out as B2B transit provider, without customers in the general public, there was no need for a complex system to manage the movement and maintaining of status sheets on cargo and the modes of transportation used by them.  Recently LogistiCraft has partnered with Movie Hut, a major physical media rental service, to provide the logistics and supply chain management of a major B2C (business to customer) service.  Futureproofing  LogistiCraft’s existing systems are designed from the ground up to be mobile friendly with agile design, the IMC is another major piece that will expand upon the existing system already in place.

4. Features  Mobile ready  The IMC is designed to be operated on existing handheld and mobile devices, both by the couriers delivering products, and by floor employees in the warehouses storing items to be delivered  Simple to use  The login system does not use the standard username/password paradigm, instead it validates against either a smart card or available forms of biometrics on the device (such as a fingerprint scanner)  Production versions will allow quick traversal of the LogistiCraft database with quick access to information, such as:  “Which aircraft is this cargo intended for, and what model aircraft is it?  “What are the contents and weight of that cargo?”

5. Prototype/Production differences  Static content  The prototype is loaded with a hardcoded set of entries in it’s database to simplify the configuration and deployment of it  No login validation  As the data is static, there is no need to validate against a smart-card or biometric data  Editing features are disabled  The prototype cannot connect to an existing database, so any modifications to the entries would be lost upon exiting it

6. Future features  Cross referencing with partnered databases  The IMC primarily is designed to manage cargo information, but future versions can expand so that it provides cargo details.  Example:  Cargo manifest lists multiple varieties of shipping and packing tape  Cross referencing would allow verification that the correct type is included, and spot checking that it is the correct intended product  Extensibility  Move existing features into modules so that they can be selectively enabled/disabled depending on customer  Ability to quickly add new module types
