Nationally Recognized Programs School of Business and Industry –Ranked in top 10 in nation among business schools (1987-2009) School of Architecture –Nationally accredited by National Architecture Accreditation Board (NAAB) School of Pharmacy –Currently 3 rd largest Pharmaceutical school in nation –Ranked 1 st in Southeast in funding from NIH ($10 million) School of Nursing –1 st B.S. FAMU Student Profile ~17% are First-Time in College (FTIC) ~75% are on financial aid ~43% are from Florida ~80% are from Southeast ~7% are from a foreign country (Caribbean) ~14% are admitted despite inadequate math skills Many students work part-time ~90% graduate in 5-6 years –~25% graduate with honors

Admission Requirements High School Graduate: –Minimum SAT 1010 and ACT 21 –“B” average in academic subjects –Recommendation from H.S. representative Transfer Student: –Obtained 12 or more college hours –Minimum 2.0 GPA –Students with AA degree: Given priority admission Enrolled at FAMU as a junior (if general education requirements met) Must earn at least 30 hours in residency prior to graduation Graduate Student: –B.S. degree from 4-year institution –Minimum 3.0 GPA in major courses –Satisfaction of GRE requirement
