2 AIM will be a leading international academic evidence-based research and review journal that is peer reviewed and multi-disciplinary within the fields of Integrative and Complementary Medicine.

3 The primary focus of AIM is to advance IM by publishing the latest in IM clinical research, providing the reader with significant and current news and information from around the globe.

4 Building a global integrative medicine community “Advances in Integrative Medicine” (AIM) will be a proprietary Elsevier Journal (electronic and print) with affiliations from combined societies focused on encouraging the global progress of Integrative Medicine. As such, it will attract a wide expanse of professionals from both mainstream and complementary fields. The journal will encourage international networking through its unique clinical innovation, the establishment of best practice and direct networking between organisations and communities.

9 Scope The journal will have a strong focus on rigorous quantitative and qualitative research including systematic reviews, clinical trials, surveys and case series whilst simultaneously providing peer-reviewed clinically relevant articles disclosing practical learning tools for the consulting practitioner. By the provision of medical hypotheses and case- reports, the journal will allow for the identification of areas for future research and development in IM and promote practitioner contribution to the journal.
