3 What is a Day of Giving? 24-hour charitable online fundraising campaign April 24, 2015 12:01 AM – 11:59 PM Unites a community around local cause Benefits: Builds community Connects donors to nonprofits Teaches local organizations to use digital tools Year-round use of Razoo giving platform

Knight Foundation involvement Provides online giving platform, Razoo Provides monthly tutorials/network with other CFs to learn/share tools and lessons Provides Giving Day Playbook We know this is feasible Share the Season is also annual Raise WCF awareness among target audiences Grows community giving Build new relationships with potential donors

6 Community Benefits Online giving - Increasing in popularity with year over year increases of around 14% - Wichita Art Day of Giving introduces and reinforces this giving behavior Increasing the donor pool - Younger donors will be more likely to give during a Giving Day if they know their smaller dollars will lead toward a greater impact Can raise both participating nonprofits and the arts public image No matter the organization’s size, this type of event welcomes all shapes and sizes the ability to participate

7 Responsibilities Wichita Community Foundation Seek Champions Raise funds for Bonus Pool Create a common message and brand Provide a nonprofit toolkit Provide training sessions to prepare nonprofits Serve as liaison between organizations and Razoo Raise awareness in community Generate media buzz Inform donors via ongoing correspondence Highlight participating nonprofits on WCF social media Use wichitacf.org and Razoo website to promote event Offer ongoing support to nonprofits Nonprofit participants Attend training sessions Create fundraising page for organization using Razoo Post Razoo link to their websites, social media, email lists, etc. Set a fundraising goal and publicize that goal to stakeholders Seek out matching funds Identify motivated supporters to volunteer Broadcast news about event using existing communications Be committed to learning new online communication technologies for their organization Send thank you notes to donors post-event
