2 O VERVIEW Dandee Fest is a relatively new festival, beginning in 2005. Each year the festival is held in the same field. The festival draws many people in with its minimalist approach and open air setting. Events have included live music and “paint wars.”Dandee Fest has a reputation for showcasing the “upcoming” and “underground.” Dandee Fest, started as a small local event in the Southern Tier of NY with about 10,000 in attendance. Praise for the festival spread by word of mouth and reached major NY cities. Within the next two years, attendance reached to 35,000 people and 15 more musicians were added to the line up. Dandee Fest continues to grow and appeal to “indie” fans and their lifestyle. Dandee Fest 2010 will reach to 100,000 fans of the Dandee lifestyle providing a key niche to market to. Past sponsors: Indie-go clothing, Deva online art community, Wellsy Microbrewery, PETA, and Amnesty International.

3 H ISTORY Dandee Fest - named for the large dandelion field where it takes place - was founded by Mitchell Ernst in 2003 as an alternative to large, crowded music festivals. Ernst saw the chance to appeal to music and art fans in the community who wanted a more natural and relaxed environment. Dandee Fest started as an alt-folk/indie experience with just a few music stages and DIY art stations and now has exploded into a cult phenomena.
