5 Applied Dual Use Biosecurity Programme “Train the Trainer” programme Delivered online from Bradford by experts 60+ expert alumni by the end of 2011/12 6-week and 12-week versions Lectures, small group work, student presentations, using real-life biosecurity scenarios Assessed by essays and presentations Accredited as a UK Masters level module (12 week)

6 The new National Series A series of country-specific programmes tailored to the biosecurity needs of each focus country 5 lectures (c. 22 slides each): – Introduction – Threats and prohibition regimes – Web of prevention – National measures – Responsibility of life scientists So far: Ukraine, Pakistan, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan 11 more editions this year, including a range of MENA countries
