Lips to Fish encourages students to get their mouth ready for the first sound in a word as they put their finger under the words they are reading. Have them show you at home. Writing: We are working on writing Personal Narrative stories. We have been learning that personal narratives need characters, settings, and a problem and solution to the story. We have been encouraging students to stretch out their words and record the sounds they hear….AND begin putting finger spaces in between words. Math: We have been learning numbers 1-10 and will begin working on numbers 10-12. We have been comparing numbers.
