2 The Church is Catholic Catholic- meaning “Universal” Universal in liturgy and belief, the same everywhere, all over the world. Universal- welcoming, open to all, for everyone

3 The Church and Non- Catholics Not just “one voluntary organization among many” The Church founded by Christ Non-Catholics can still attain salvation – Jewish faith- still the people of God, original sons – Muslims-God’s plan for Salvation includes those who acknowledge the Creator, Muslims still consider themselves son’s of Abraham – Other Non- Catholics- “However, those, who through no fault of their own do not know either the Gospel of Christ or his Church, can achieve salvation by seeking God with a sincere heart and by trying to do God's will (Second Vatican Council). Although God can lead all people to salvation, the Church still has the duty to evangelize all men.”

4 Evangelization : The difference between imposing and inviting Evangelize- “To Bring Good News” We are called to evangelize, bring God’s love to others, because of the Great Commission To Evangelize is not the same as imposing your beliefs. This is proselytizing Evangelization is an invitation
