2 Five year strategic plan for child health development (2005-2009) was formulated and implemented since 2005. Five year strategic plan for child health development (2005-2009) was formulated and implemented since 2005 as a guidance for achieving MDG 4 in Myanmar. Mid term review and annual review meeting were held annually for future planning, based on the challenges, weakness and strength and lessons learned. 3 Child health development strategy (2010-2014) document was prepared as a guidance to attain better quality of life for people in Myanmar by improving child health through contribution to achievement of MDG 4, reducing U5MR by two thirds of the level in 1990 by the end of 2015 in Myanmar. 6 (c) Based on the findings from SPR, workshop on reviewing five year strategic plan (2005-2009) for child health development and revising and development of child health development plan (2010-2014) was developed and formulated with the joint effort by DOH, WHO, UNICEF and NGOs in October 2009. (d) Draft strategic plan was then developed by Ministry of Health (MOH), WHO and UNICEF with technical assistance from WHO/HQ, SEAR and UNICEF.
