On July 15, 1476 he traveled to Greece and Portugal then when he was in his teens he became a sailor!

He had a plan to find a route to Asia, west from Spain. The king and Queen called him Admiral of the Ocean Sea!

On October 12, 1492 Christopher Columbus spotted land, and named it San Salvador.
