2 LOOK NO FURTHER! Miami Beach Senior High School is located strategically in the heart of the city, blocks from South Beach, and has room for advertising space in The Beachcomber.

3 OUR GOAL As a paper, we strive to inform the Beach High student body and the Miami Beach Community, about the latest events, news, features, etc. Part of our efforts are also focused around getting local businesses noticed and acknowledged in our paper, as well as showing the business their true potential to grow as a store and expand their horizons.

4 Survey says… Of these students who play sports, 56% of them claimed that they need new equipment, gear, or athletic wear every month. Of all the students polled, LESS THAN 5% have heard of your shop, yet 44% claim to have visited South Beach within the past month. In a separate survey, 51% of students say they buy athletic wear even though they are not involved in sports and 75% say they would check out the shop if it was advertised in the Beachcomber.

8 One way of going about looking at this quote in relation to your business is trying to picture yourself as the steak and your competition as the artificial shortage. By advertising with our paper, which has been around for 82 years and prints 5,000 copies at a time coming out 4 times a year, your competition will be at a disadvantage, or “shortage” of customers, making you the more appealing steak. “Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will eat for a lifetime. Teach a man to create an artificial shortage of fish and he will eat steak.” -Jay Leno

9 In a nutshell… 1.GET THE WORD OUT You have a great store, and have the potential to be even greater. It’s a shame to let it go unnoticed. 2. SPEND MONEY TO MAKE MONEY By advertising with the Beachcomber for a comfortable price for your company, the whole Beach High student body and local businesses will look at it. It is projected that if advertised, 75 % of our students would visit the shop. 3. SUPPORT YOUR COMMUNITY Beach High’s paper has been circulating for 82 years and has become a respected staple of the Miami Beach Community. If an ad seen from your company is in the paper, it will show that you helped make the paper possible and gets your store more esteem, and might even get you more business as well.
