2. Every day in the U.S 3,700 babies die from abortion. Abortion is the unceremonious killing of babies before they are born. A baby can be aborted anytime before birth but many states have restrictions and 99% of abortions are performed before 20 weeks, 90% before 12 weeks

3. THE CATHOLIC CHURCH’S BELIEFS The Church believes that in no circumstances is abortion alright. From the moment of conception there is life. Abortion is murder in every sense and the Church does not support not tolerate it.

4. WRITTEN IN SCRIPTURE "The word of the LORD came to me, saying, ‘Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations’" (Jeremiah 1:4-5). Even before I was born, God had chosen me to be His. —Galatians 1:15

5. CATHECHISM TEXT Human life must be respected and protected absolutely from the moment of conception. From the first moment of his existence, a human being must be recognized as having the rights of a person - among which is the inviolable right of every innocent being to life. (CCC 2270)

DONUM VITAE Physical life, with which the course of human life in the world begins, certainly does not itself contain the whole of a person's value, nor does it represent the supreme good of man who is called to eternal life. However it does constitute in a certain way the "fundamental " value of life, precisely because upon this physical life all the other values of the person are based and developed.(13) The inviolability of the innocent human being's right to life "from the moment of conception until death" (14) is a sign and requirement of the very inviolability of the person to whom the Creator has given the gift of life.

7. What they’re saying in Donum Vitae is that physical life does not make a person who they are. It does not define a persons value whether they are fully grown or a fetus. A person is a person because God gave them life at conception.

8. TEXT Abortion was made legal by Supreme Court in 1973 through the Roe vs. Wade case. This case held that a woman’s right to privacy includes her decision to have an abortion. This case declared abortion a constitutional right in the U.S.

9. WE NEED TO END IT Going along with what the Church says abortion is wrong and needs to be stopped. It is murder and kills thousands of voiceless children a day.
