Germany has many important cities. Some of its essential cities are:  Berlin  Düsseldorf  Dresden  Hannover  Nürnberg  Leipzig  Munich  Frankfurt  Stuttgart  Cologne

Berlin is the capital of Germany. Berlin has 3.49 million people in it.

There are many political regions in Germany. These regions are often called ‘states’. They are listed as follows: Baden-WürttembergBavaria BerlinBradenburg BremenHamburg HesseMecklinburg-Vopommern Lower SaxonyNorth Rhine-Westphalia Rhineland-PalatinateSaarland SaxonySaxony-Anhalt Schleswig-HolsteinThuringia

These political states are in three different categories. Bavaria, Saxony, and Thuringia are called Staatregierung (state government) because they are the only free states.

Berlin, Bremen, and Hamburg are also in another category. These states are not ruled like the rest because their leaders are different and the Senate has most of the control.

The other ten states are called Landtag because they have a unicameral legislative body. The other two groups all have bicameral legislatures.

The pictures that the German National Tourist Board put on their website shows that Germany has lots of nature, nightlife, royal buildings, and monuments to offer to tourists. These are the things they deem most important because that is what most people come to see in Europe. Germany has lots of historical heritage; it still has many buildings and castles left over from royal times. The Bureau shows off Germany’s modern cities, and its classical cities. 10 Wartburg Castle is located in Eisenach. Eisenach is a city in the state of Thuringia. I would love to see the Wartburg Castle because I am very interested in Medieval times. This castle has lots of old artifacts, and it is the oldest castle in Europe.

The Castle Neuschwanstein was built by Mad King Ludwig. This castle is located in the mountains of Bavaria in the city of Fussen. I would like to visit this castle because it is the castle that the Disney castle was modeled after, and it is so beautiful on the top of the mountains.

Europa Park is Germany’s largest seasonal theme park. It is located in the city of Rust. Rust is in Baden- Würtemmberg. I would like to go to Europa Park because I love roller coasters, and I think it is so neat that each part of the park is a different country.
