12 How users scan Users start reading at the top left corner of the page Users move horizontally, through the page in an "F" formation Users rarely focus on the bottom right corner of the page

13 How users read Users look for key words or phrases that will help them complete the task at hand After reading the first or second line of text, users begin scanning Users skip over the content if they are not caught by the first few words in the paragraph Users are more likely to read small chunks of text (or bullets) than blocks of text. Users stop reading when they are ready to make a selection
