12 Community Involvement Many restaurants donate to worthy causes: Buffalo Wild Wings has raised over $225,000 since 1999 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. A BWW in Gilbert that has donated wings to church groups, school volunteer events and raised $5,000 for the family of a police officer that was killed. An owner of four chains in Illinois donates about 1,000 wings every Christmas to a church that gives the food to homeless people.
