EF Costa Rica Costa Rica Tamarindo School Accommodation Activities Costa Rica Playa Tamarindo Students can choose between residence and homestay accommodation. The school has housing facilities in multibed-rooms with a/c, tv, kitchenette and balcony. Next to the school building is the Tamalimo-residence, also selfcatered multibed, with a beautiful, large common area for relaxing, self-studies and socialising. For an optimal learning experience we recommend accommodation with host family in one of the neighbouring towns (20 min by regular bus service). The standard is basic but unbeatably friendly. The Costa Rican lifestyle is very sociable and easy going, and you will soon discover the meaning of the ”Ticos’” favourite expression: ¡Pura Vida!

EF Costa Rica Costa Rica Tamarindo School Accommodation Activities Costa Rica Playa Tamarindo It may be difficult to fit in all the free time activities you feel you must do while in Tamarindo and Costa Rica. The natural surroundings, the climate and the lifestyle in the area means there is unlimited exploration and fun in store, from birdwatching (850 species!) to salsa dancing. The evident sport activity in and around Tamarindo is of course wave surfing. The constant breaks cater for both beginners and those who want to perfect their carving 360:s. Other water activities include sailing, big game fishing, snorkling and scuba diving. If you prefer dry land, there are jungle tours on quad bike, canopy-trails, beach football, ancient Indian pottery-classes, yoga and hiking to enjoy, among other things. Week-end excursions are organised for you to discover the capital San José, the national parks, e.g. Rincon de la Vieja (on horseback), the Monteverde rainforest and the natural hotsprings at the active volcano of Arenal. Whatever your taste, there is more than enough here to keep you busy!
