3 The Costs of War U.S. spending per second in 2008 was 5,000 dollars U.S. 2008 monthly spending was $12 billion U.S. monthly spending in 2009 was $7.3 billion as of Oct. 2009 Cost of deploying one U.S. soldier to Iraq $390,000 Spent & Approved War Spending – about $900 billion

4 A “Change” of Plans New president Barrack Obama says that his plan for Iraq is to begin troop withdraw by Aug. 2010 And all remaining troops by Dec. 2011 “Let me say this as plainly as I can,” Mr. Obama said. “By August 31, 2010, our combat mission in Iraq will end.”
