5. Aims and Idea of Luxembourg Foresight
Identification of a limited number of national priorities in public research (promising topics with future RTD potential)
Identify how public research can address needs and demands of public, business, and society.
Idea: Based on the input from Phase I:
For each of the 6 fields identified in phase 1, an expert panel will meet twice in phase 2 of the Foresight

The Input Paper gives a state-of-the-art of the thematic field within the national and international context as derived from baseline report and OECD innovation study. It will serve as background documentation for the first set of expert workshops to be held in November and December 2006 (WS_1).

12. Concept of the Interim Report
The Interim report is based on thematic field analyses and results of the first expert workshop WS_1. It gives an overall SWOT analysis for Luxembourg and a ranking of the related priority domains with future potential.
It will serve as background documentation for the second set of expert workshops to be held in January and February 2007 (WS_2).
