2 Computer Game series Piano Mania

3 Why choose “Piano Mania” A product for providing the computer beginners an interesting environment. Our design is a combination of computer and music to provide entertainment. Providing computer users an elegant alternatives of gaming experience.

4 What is Piano Mania Game! This concept comes from the idea of the self-learning typing software in last decade. A combination of computer and music to provide entertainment which gives an easier way to enjoy the melodies.

5 How it works? Monitor displays piano keyboard Color of the keys will change indicating a sequence of key pressed Player follows the sequence and play on the keyboard accordingly. When key is pressed, there will be tune of that key from the speaker If correct key is pressed, score increases. If incorrect key is pressed, score decreases.

6 How to design Brainstorming –Video games, robot controls, etc Preliminary ideas –Robotic follower, Auto-cop, Piano Mania Research –web sites, reference books, magazines, etc Feasibility estimation

7 How to implement Research and preparation Design phase –I/O structure (interface between player and computer) –Game structure (internal architecture of relationship that defines difficulties) –Program structure (modules organization of coding)

10 Assumption and Risks Assumption –Module of the VGA monitor works –Module of keyboard interface works –Enough output pins from UP1 board to DAC converter for speaker Risks –Incorrect frequency for speaker, resulting incorrect tune –Several keys pressed together, UP1 board can’t recognize the correct signal –Delay from keyboard to speaker
