The fork lift gets its name from the two peaces of metal on the front of the fork lift.

The rams pick the forks up off the ground. A median sized fork lift can pick up 1,500 THAT’S 1 ton and a half.

The tires on a fork lift are not the same as a truck. Truck’s have the front tires to turn it and the back ones to move it. But the fork lift has the back tires to turn and the front ones to move it.

Fork lift’s can’t move stuff with out pallets. pallets are made out of wood and has two holes in the bottom of the pallet.

The forks fit in those hole in the pallets. The fork lift can pick up things with pallets.

There is a main brand for fork lifts the cat. There's little fork lifts and big fork lifts. A small fork lift can pick up 1 ton.

If you put the forks up high with 1 ton on. It could tip over. That could hurt you very bad. You would fall out because fork lifts don’t have doors.

Fork lifts are mainly used on docks to move box's that hold fish. They make plastic box's for this it has a cover so it will not spill.
