5 5 Eligibility Requirements Must be utility commercial or industrial customer Get utility authorization prior to purchase and installation of equipment Funds are offered on “first-come, first-served” basis Affected lighting load must be reduced by at least 30 percent Lighting systems must operate a minimum of 2000 hours per year.

6 6 Eligibility, continued Rebate incentive cannot exceed 70 percent of the total project cost (including labor) All equipment to be installed must meet rebate specifications and requirements Minimum project size is $200.00 All materials, including PCB ballasts, must be disposed of or recycled in accordance with current environmental laws

7 7 Steps for Participation Complete sign-up form –Name of business/building and address –Owner and lessee’s names and telephone numbers –Building size, number of floors and use (retail, office, etc.) –Type of heating system –Hours of operation

8 8 Steps, continued Utility explains requirements and assesses eligibility Utility schedules lighting audit Audit findings are reported to customer If they wish to proceed with project, customer signs agreement with utility

9 9 Steps, continued When project completed, customer notifies utility and submits invoices and supporting information After utility inspects project and provides final approval, customer rebate is paid

10 10 Important Note Many products on the market meet the requirements of the utility’s program Some products are superior to others For your protection, research the products for quality, price, and conformity with requirements before deciding which to buy
