5  A Bushel is an imperial, customary unit of dry volume, equivalent to 4 pecks or 8 gallons. ○ One gallon is about 4 litres, so 1 bushel is about 32 litres.

6  In the average deciduous forest you will find about 22 million tonnes of leaves per hectare.

7  A squirrel living in the giant west coast forest may collect and store as much as eight bushels of seeds in on spot.
