Support national and local governments to address root causes to reduce risks and losses by reducing hazard exposure 2006 – UNDP in 50 countries with annual budget of $90 million for disaster risk and recovery How? Creating the conditions for implementing risk identification, reduction and transfer in high risk situations Mainstreaming disaster risk management into wide range of development processes 1
