1 Howard Gardner Multiple Intelligence psychologist

2 Biography Data! Howard Gardner was born in 1943 & lived in Scranton, PA. His parents were refugees from Nazi Germany. He enrolled to Harvard university, he started out as a history major but started to like cognitive development psychology.

3 Continued….. -In 1983 he started his multiple intelligence theory & in 1986 he started to teach at Harvard. -Dr.Gardner has wrote 20 books. -He likes to travel & he loves art, he used to be a pianist when he was younger.

4 Howard gardner Howard Gardner developed a new way at looking at how all people, including children learn in many different ways. His theory was called Multiple Intelligences.

5 Verbal-Linguistic This intelligence is where a child or person learns best by words. A teacher should explain an idea by lecturing to teach a child who learns by this intelligence.

6 Logical-Mathematical
A person with this intelligence learns best by seeing and understanding connections between two subjects. Understanding an idea is more likely when looking at patterns and numbers.

7 Visual-Spatial Visual objects are extremely helpful with a child that has this intelligence. They learn best by seeing what's going on and looking at pictures while a teacher explains the idea/subject.

8 Musical Learns best while listening to music or singing. These children usually have a talent in playing a musical instrument.

9 Bodily Kinesthetic Learns best by doing physical activities. Needs very Hands-On activities. Many people in this intelligence are very active and athletic. ) )

10 Interpersonal People with this intelligence get along well with others. They enjoy and learn best by being in groups and from peers.

11 Intrapersonal The children learn best in the quiet. They would rather work alone than in groups. They are reserved around others and withdrawn from other classmates.

12 NATURALISTIC LEARNS BEST BY BEING OUTDOORS.
ENJOYS LESSONS THAT ARE TAUGHT OUTSIDE. THE PEOPLE WITH THIS INTELLIGENCE ARE USUALLY GOOD AT RECOGNIZING MANY DIFFERENT ANIMALS AND PLANTS.
