1 Buttons and Hyperlinks in PowerPoint To add a button: 1.Open a PowerPoint Project and select the slide on which you wish to place a button. 2.Click on Slideshow > Action Button and choose on icon by clicking on it. 3.Now click and hold the left mouse button on you PowerPoint project and drag to make a square to the size of the button you wish to have.

2 Buttons and Hyperlinks in PowerPoint 4.Let go of the mouse button and a menu box appears. 5.Click on the down arrow next to “Hyperlink to:” and you will be given several choices. 6.If you want to link to a different PowerPoint Project, click on “Other PowerPoint Presentation”.

Note: If you change the location of the PowerPoint project later on, this button will no longer work. 8.You can access the “Action Setting” menu at any time by Right Clicking on the button in the edit mode of PowerPoint.

4 Buttons and Hyperlinks in PowerPoint Some things to keep in mind: If you hyperlink to another PowerPoint project, you will need to go to the end of it before you are returned to your original location. Of course, you can add buttons to the other PowerPoint that take you back on each slide. If you change the file locations of your PowerPoint Projects, there is a strong possibility that the hyperlink will no longer work. Make sure you test out your buttons after making changes.
