3. EUROPEAN ART The San Diego Museum of Art’s European Art collection varies from Impressionism to Italian Renaissance art. The museum contains Italian art from major artists such as Giotto, Carlo Crivelli, Veronese, Bellotto, Tiepolo, Batoni, and other creative artists. In the Spanish section of art, you can see artwork from Sánchez Cotán, Bermejo, Goya, etc. French art can be found by artists, Monet, Renoir, Dubuffet, and Matisse. Besides, Spanish, French, and Italian art, there’s also German and Northern Baroque paintings.

4. MODERN/CONTEMPORARY ART Paintings, prints, and sculptures can be found being displayed in the San Diego Museum. Sculptures by Joan Miró, David Smith, Henry Moore, and a few other major artists are all exhibited in the museum. Works by modern artists such as Josef Albers, Stuart Davis, Frank Stella, Wayne Thiebaud, and a couple others are demonstrated in the museum’s collection of modern paintings. There is also a large collection of prints and drawings, where one of the museum’s focal points is the works of California and Mexican artists.

6. HTTP://WWW.SDMART.ORG/ REFLECTION: Doing this museum Power Point was pretty fun. I’m glad I chose the San Diego Museum of Art, which was formerly know as The Fine Arts Gallery of San Diego. I don’t think I’ve ever been to this museum, but I have been to Balboa Park. Doing this Power Point was fun and gave me a lot of knowledge on the museum I chose. It makes me want to actually visit the museum in person to see the many paintings, sculptures, and prints in the museum. I really enjoyed looking for interesting facts about the museum on the 5 th slide. I learned a lot from them. If you’d like to get a glimpse of the museum for yourself, go to the website below.
