8 Your Pack Pack Tiger Den 1 st Grade Wolf Den 2 nd Grade Bear Den 3 rd Grade Webelos II 5 th Grade Webelos I 4 th Grade Made up of five dens, each with a rank that roughly corresponds to grade level: Tigers Wolves Bears Webelos I Webelos II

10 Bobcat Baseline rank Introduces boy to scouting ideas Cub Scout Oath, Law, Motto, Handshake, etc. Should be earned in just a couple meetings

11 Tiger – 1 st grade Scout must accompanied by an adult partner Divided into five achievement areas: Making my family special Where I live Keeping myself healthy and safe How I tell it Let’s go outdoors

12 Wolf – 2 nd grade 12 achievement categories, each with associated activities: Feats of Skill Your Flag Keep Your Body Healthy Know Your Home and Community Tools for Fixing and Building Start a Collection Your Living World Cooking and Eating Be Safe at Home and On the Street Family Fun Duty to God Making Choices

13 Bear – 3 rd grade Achievements are grouped into 4 major areas: God Country Family Self

14 Much more independence and personal responsibility Webelos can start going on longer campouts Webelos II is all about getting scouts ready for Boy Scouts Boy Scout troops often host events for Webelos Activity badges prepare scouts for merit badges Webelos I & II – 4 th and 5 th grade

17 Pack Events Blue and Gold Banquet Pinewood Derby Camping Sports events Picnics Fundraising Coming up in October: Hooked on Scouting! Everyone who signs up this year is invited to this event at Independence Lake, where your scout will get fishing gear and earn the fishing belt loop.

18 Fundraising BSA Traditional Popcorn Sale Last year in our Pack, 32 scouts made $13,140 in sales. As a Pack, we keep 30% of the sales.

24 Everyone Benefits Parents said that after one year in Cub Scouts: 80% of their sons learned to stay away from drugs, and to help at home. 90% said Scouting encouraged family togetherness through projects, going places, and talking with each other. 95% said Scouting provides a safe and friendly environment and created a sense of belonging, and their sons learned to get along with others.
