Lighting Designer Decides what kind of lights are needed, where to focus them, and when to turn them on. The lighting crew places them and runs them during the show Set designers may envision specific lighting but it is up to the lighting designer for lights to be hung and what specific colors are used Aware of: Ground plan Location Mood Time of day

Costume Designer Design costumes or selects them from rental spaces Works closely with the actors to determine movement needs Must be aware of: Character style and personality Mood Design and style of the era Character relationships Safety

Sound Designer Decides what kinds of music and sound effects are needed and whether they should be live or recorded Sound crew is responsible for collecting, preparing, and running the sound for a performance. Theatre Design Project Concept: paragraph highlighting tone, colors, and justification Groundplan: measured to the stage with all furniture represented Set Design: drawing or model with set matching the groundplan Light Cue Sheet: numbered sheet with all light cues, the cue line, and level of intensity Color Scale: what colors are being used Costume Plot: all characters, all character costume changes and their location in the script Colored Drawings: drawing of costume with color representing desired fabric, fabric swatch Sound Cue Sheet: numbered sheet with all sound cues, the cue line, and level of intensity Example Sounds: 2 built sounds, not downloaded Two Sources: sources where images, inspiration, ideas, etc. were pulled from and cited correctly
