3 Rules: Multiply or divide DIFFERENT SIGNS the product or quotient is NEGATIVE Example: 1.)24÷ (-24) 2.) -4 ∙ 12

4 Rules: Anytime you multiply by 0 your product is 0 Examples: 1.) 50000 (0) (12) (-3) 2.) -415(0)

5 More than 2 terms: Count the number of negative signs. If you have a(n): – ODD amount of negative signs your answer is NEGATIVE – EVEN amount of negative signs your answer is POSITIVE

6 Examples: 1.) -9(-8)(-5) 2.)

7 Average Add up all the numbers in the set and divide by the amount that were added Example: Find the average from the group Football yardage:10,-57,9,-11
