BAYS Foundation Tom Mistele and two fellow LAX-rats Created foundation to raise money for underserved youth Sponsor of the San Francisco Fall Lacrosse Classic Inspire youth lacrosse players by watching high level D1 men's lacrosse Entice D1 players to relocate to Bay Area to coach youth SF Classic Non-profit event run by volunteers All proceeds (after event expenses) go to BAYS Foundation grantees Not sustainable without sponsorships, tickets sales and volunteers

BAYS Foundation Harvard, Johns Hopkins, University of Denver, Notre Dame, Brown, UNC, Lehigh, Ohio, Princeton, Virginia $225,000 in grants in first three years: America SCORES Bay Area; East Palo Alto Tennis and Tutoring (EPATT); Girls on the Run Bay Area; Lacrosse for LIFE; Oakland Community Pools Project; Real Options for City Kids (ROCK); and KEEN San Francisco. 2013 season $10,000 grant to NCJLA - financial aid to boys and girls who would be otherwise unable to participate in youth lacrosse.
