2 Unit 3 reflection – 5 mins  Individually (and quietly) reflect on the following questions in relation to unit 3 biology:  What did I do well? How can I build on that this semester?  What didn’t I do so well? How can I improve on that this semester?  How do I think I went overall in Unit 3 biology?  What is my learning goal for unit 4 biology? How will I achieve it?

4 Group activity – 15 mins  Read pg 26 of study design (up to Area of Study 1 heading)  Highlight key words  Are there words you don’t understand? Discuss what they might mean and set up a glossary at the front of your books  What does your group feel they are most comfortable with? Concerned with? Interested in learning about? Aren’t interested in learning about?  Elect one group member to report back to class

8 Area of study 2: Change over Time Outcome 2 On completion of this unit the student should be able to:  analyse and evaluate evidence for evolutionary change and evolutionary relationships,  describe mechanisms for change including the effect of human intervention on evolutionary processes.
